These pics are really GREAT. The witches turned out wonderful. Love the pale white eyes and the snake skin on the one hat is a great touch.

Thanks! That snake skin didn't last too long on there... it was way too windy.

Your witches are wonderful. I love their hats. I especially like the witch that seems to be clasping her hands together. Lovely work :)

Awesome Any chance of getting a tutorial on those witches!? They're amazing. I can't wait to see what you have planned for this year

Love this Do you have a tutorial on how to make the witches?

Grim said...

I don't really have any tutorials for them, but they are pretty simple. I made them the same way as I make my groundbreakers, just a basic frame covered in paper mache'. The hats are paper mache' with some chicken wire inside to give them that shape.

Love the witches. How did you make the eyes?

Grim said...

One of them actually has gum balls for eyes, the other two have some wooden craft balls I got at a crafts store. I just painted them white.

Your work is so artistic and creative! I love, love, love the witches! What did you use for the teeth? They are such a cool addition! How do you protect them from the weather, if they are made of paper mache? Thanks for sharing! :)
